The Center for Student Support and Care offers a number of resources and tools to help current students develop the skills, behaviors, and habits necessary to achieve academic success.

Organizational Resources

Students may choose one or more of the following templates to aid in organizational planning and preparation. Simply make a copy of the template and save it to a personal Google drive for customization and editing access.

Executive Functioning Self Assessment

Adapted from the Peg Dawson and Richard Guare Executive Skills Questionnaire, the Executive Functioning Assessment helps to identify strengths and gaps among 12 executive functioning skills. Students who have questions about their results or would like to maximize the executive functioning skills identified in the questionnaire are encouraged to meet with a Skills Mentor.

Skills Mentoring Support

Skills Mentors are staff and faculty volunteers who provide individualized support to help students with motivation, prioritization, and ultimately, success in and outside of the classroom. Students interested in further cultivating skills related to time management, organization, and relationship-building are encouraged to register to meet with a Skills Mentor to discuss their goals.

After being paired, students meet with their Skills Mentor on a regular basis for customized sessions specific to the student's needs. Many students find that working with a Skills Mentor not only serves to develop important life skills, but also provides a consistent point of accountability.
